Stannol GmbH & Co. KG offers a wide range of solder wires for different applications and uses. Solder Wires can be flux filled or solid.

Higher activity flux cored solder wires are usually halogen activated.

Halogen Free flux cores wires are suitable when higher electrical safety of residues is required.

Organic Fluxes can be used for difficult to solder surfaces

Trilence Series of Flux Cored Wires are ideal for automated soldering processes.

Halogen Containing Flux Cored Solder Wire

Kristall 605 & Kristall 611 Transparent residues, Low spitting , Gentle on solder tips.
HS10 Short wetting times, suitable for hand soldering as well as fast cycle times in automated soldering
2630 Highest activity, used for surfaces that are difficult to solder.

Halogen Free Flux Cored Solder Wire

Kristall Series 600 Transparent residues,  high activity, low tendency to spit.
HF32 Good activity, very high electrical safety of residues.

Organic Fluxes

S321 Suitable for soldering metal and sheet metal goods
WS2413 Ideal for electronic surfaces that are difficlt to solder.

Trilence Series

Trilence 3505 and Trillence 2708 Halogen Activated Flux, colophny-free, based on synthetic resin matrix. Very low spitting, light residues and high thermal load capacity.
Trilence 3500 Halogen Free Flux, colophny-free, based on synthetic resin matrix. Very low spitting, light residues and high thermal load capacity.

In wave soldering, PCBs are soldered by passing them through a wave of solder. But whereas in reflow soldering, hot air is used to solder the electronic components on the board.

Wave soldering is ideal for soldering THT (Through Hole Technology) assembly. Besides, the process is affordable and can solder bulk PCBs in a short time. Hence, it is preferable for commercial soldering.

Wave soldering is not suitable for soldering surface-mounted components. Besides, other soldering techniques such as reflow soldering are preferred over the wave soldering technique. Hence, its use has decreased considerably in recent years.

When the temperature of the board increases suddenly, it will go into a thermal shock leading to its failure. To prevent this, the board undergoes a preheating process that raises its temperature gradually. Also most of thee fluxes get active at elevated temperatures hence preheating is important.

  • 1. Fast
  • 2. Saving of solder metal
  • 3. Better quality solder joint
